I am a serving member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 19 years. I have diplomas in GIS from Algonquin and Geomatics Engineering Technology from the Centre of Geographic Sciences. I am working in the survey department of the Mapping and Charting Establishment here in Ottawa and have been in this job since 2013. I have been involved with many conventional and terrestrial LiDAR surveys across Canada. We do work for a variety of Clients mostly military, but occasionally the RCMP or other governmental departments. My recent focus has been on the development of our terrestrial LiDAR capability to produce survey grade analysis and products. This will be the main topic I will cover in my presentation.
