Matt Holland

During his 25 year career Matt has worked around the world to survey and provide solutions to support the marine environment and related resources and infrastructure. Matt studied Geomatics Engineering Technology at the College of Geographic Sciences (COGS) and started his career as an offshore surveyor specializing in operations for submarine telecommunications cables. He later joined CARIS where he held various technical positions and business roles to train, support and provide GIS solutions to national hydrographic offices and others with interests in marine mapping and nautical charting. He then joined XOCEAN to lead their business activities in North America and provide ocean data collection services through carbon neutral operations using Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs). In his current role at NORBIT, Matt works with government agencies, private industry and research and academic institutes in North America to provide solutions to map the marine environment in the most challenging conditions and applications.
