
Johnathan Smeh is a UAV and Photogrammetry Specialist who recently joined Balko Technologies as a project manager and Geomatics Expert.
He has worked within the commercial UAV sector for over a decade. He has accumulated hundreds of flight hours on various fixed wing and multi-rotor aircraft, and has flown complex missions on Canadian Forces Bases and International Airports.
Operating several UAV service providing companies, Johnathan became skilled at business development and performing UAV services from start to finish including flight planning, piloting, data collection, and processing.
Johnathan has collected data from a wide array of UAV sensors such as: RGB, Thermal, Acoustic, HyperSpectral and Magnetometers.
Over the years, Johnathan became particularly specialized in precision photogrammetry data collection and processing, with a focus on high fidelity modeling (under 1mm GSD).
