John M. Russo, AIA, is a licensed architect in the State of California with over 35 years of experience.  In 1997 he founded Architectural Resource Consultants (ARC), a firm specializing in providing Professional Building Documentation services.  Mr. Russo has been a speaker at numerous conferences and a contributing author for many renowned industry publications.  Mr. Russo holds degrees in both Business Administration and Architecture. 

In 2011, Mr. Russo founded the U.S. Institute of Building Documentation (USIBD) - a non-profit membership organization dedicated to furthering excellence of building documentation for which he was awarded the SPAR Star Award in 2012 for outstanding contributions to the industry. He currently serves on the Board of Directors and as President and led the development of the USIBD’s Level of Accuracy (LOA) specification.
