Marina Smailes is a Geospatial Analyst at Statistics Canada. Her work in the Data Exploration and Integration Lab (DEIL) focuses on open data integration and analysis to create comprehensive and Canada-wide open geospatial datasets for public use. She also works to promote the use of geospatial software and tools within Statistics Canada. Marina holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science from McGill University with a major in Sustainability, Science and Society, and a specialization in GIS.
