Marc-André Faucher graduated from the University of Sherbrooke with a M.Sc. in Remote sensing. Over the last decade, he has worked on a variety of projects within the public sector, from mapping, GIS, remote sensing research, stakeholder engagement and collaboration development. Now, for the last 2 years, he has been leading the Mapping on demand and value added products team within GeoBase, a division of the Canada Center for Mapping and Earth Observation. The team's main focus over that period has been in developing and deploying an operational pipeline capable of extracting foundational geospatial features from imagery using Artificial Intelligence approaches, based on a micro-services architechture and cloud computing capacity.
