Dr. Charlene C. Nielsen

Charlene Nielsen is a Senior Certified ArcGIS Instructor with Esri Canada’s National Training Team. She has an Interdisciplinary PhD in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences & Medical Sciences—Pediatrics, an MSc in Geography with Specialization in GIS and Remote Sensing, and a BSc in Geography with Distinction. With over 20 years of experience educating and researching with GIS, she has developed and applied spatial data science solutions in several inter-organizational collaborations involving children's environmental health, habitat conservation, and climate change vulnerability. Charlene delivers courses in ArcGIS Pro and extensions, ArcGIS Online and web apps, ArcGIS Insights, ArcGIS Knowledge, Python, and change management.
