In today's rapidly advancing technological environment, the imperative for robust digital governance has never been more critical. The rapid increase of digital technologies and data has underscored an necessity for standardized governance frameworks that not only bolster security and trust but also ensure innovation and efficiency across diverse global systems. 

This presentation will delve into the paramount importance of establishing and adhering to consensus-based standards in digital governance to strengthen trust among stakeholders in the digital ecosystem. In an era where reliance on digital platforms and data is escalating, the role of the Digital Governance Council (DGC) in spearheading the development of standards fit for global use. 

The DGC's has ongoing efforts in actively developing standards for critical areas such as digital twins, geospatial data, and artificial intelligence (AI). These areas represent the forefront of digital innovation, yet they also pose significant governance challenges that require comprehensive and universally applicable standards to harness their full potential responsibly.
