
Ronan Frizzell
Ronan’s current role is focused on driving IP protection and commercialisation activities in exciting European research projects. The goal is to accelerate the advanced technology being developed towards making real market impact. Prior to this Ronan worked in Nokia Bell Labs as department head of the Efficient Energy Transfer Dept. This team focused on advanced thermal management of telecom equipment and future energy storage solutions. The role involved the management of a multi-disciplinary team of research engineers and scientists. Ronan initially joined Bell Labs as a member of technical staff and conducted research in the area of vibration energy harvesting for wireless sensors. His background is in Aeronautical Engineering and holds a PhD degree in damage mechanics of composite materials for aircraft structures. Both B.Eng and PhD. degrees were received from the University of Limerick, Ireland.
