
Yurii Sushko is an engineering manager leading Google’s anonymization team in Munich, Germany. Yurii’s team builds anonymization and differential privacy infrastructure and helps other Google teams to correctly anonymize data. In his role, Yurii actively collaborates with Google's privacy research teams to translate cutting-edge privacy research into practical solutions that facilitate safe and compliant data usage.
Yurii is passionate about privacy enhancing technologies (PETs) and new use cases they unlock. To this end, Yurii’s team is open-sourcing many of the privacy solutions, such as differential privacy libraries.
Yurii had a PhD in bioinformatics from Technical University of Munich, where he worked on building open solutions for AI-assisted drug design.
