Stefano Rinauro Ph. D. is an expert advisor in the fields of information security, cyber security and data protection.

Since 2014 he has joined Italian National State Police (Polizia di Stato) as Official (OF-3).

Currently he is the Deputy Director of the Data Protection Office of the Central Directorate of Criminal Police, where he also heads the Auditing Section.

From  2018 he is national DPO for Interpol Italy and he is member of the Interpol Committee on the Processing of Data.

Stefano Rinauro graduated in Communications Engineering in 2006 form University of Rome “La Sapienza” and earned a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering form the same University in 2010. He is qualified lead auditor according to the ISO/IEC schemes for Information Security Management System, Business Continuity Management System, Service Management System and is a Certified Instructor for several EC Council certification schemes.

He has authored over 40 scientific publications in journals or conference proceedings with the international review process.

Stefano  firmly believes in cultural contamination and team play, which he strongly encourages within its working group.
