Elsa Catalano is an Italian Lawyer expert in data protection. She is Group Data Protection Officer (DPO) at Engineering Group, overseeing the protection of personal data in Italy, Europe and in the other countries of company’s group presence. Prior to joining Engineering, Elsa worked as Global Privacy Manager at Eni Group, where she led Privacy Compliance Program and outreach activities. She has focused for more than 15 years on data protection and privacy, compliance and cybersecurity. Elsa advises Italian and foreign clients on personal data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, and IT.

She graduated in Law at the University La Sapienza; she obtained a Master in Tax Law at University Luiss Guido Carli (Rome). 

Teacher in Training courses in the field of privacy, data protection and cybersecurity at Alma Mater University (Bologna) Luiss University (Rome) and Bocconi University (Milan).

She is a member of ACC (Association of Corporate Counsel).
