Georga received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Ioannina, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Ioannina, Greece. Her research focused on the development of data-driven models for short-term glucose prediction in patients with type 1 diabetes based on physiological compartmental models, machine learning techniques, and time series analysis. Since 2004, she has been with the Unit of Medical Technology and Intelligent Information Systems at the University of Ioannina, where she has worked as a junior and senior researcher in EU-funded R&D projects. Her research interests include computational modelling of physiological systems, machine learning and pattern recognition-based analysis of biomedical data, and AI-based healthcare recommendation systems. She has published 1 book, 4 book chapters, 8 papers in international refereed journals, and 25 papers in international conference proceedings. Google Scholar
