
Annabel Seebohm
Annabel Seebohm is the Secretary General of the European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical and Health IT Industry (COCIR) in Brussels. Annabel is also vice chair of the global trade association DITTA and a board member of the Innovative Health Initiative, the largest public-private partnership for health research and innovation between the EU and the European life science industry. She fulfils advisory functions in various advisory boards of European projects - for example in HealthData@EU Pilot setting up the European Health Data Space.
Previously, Annabel Seebohm worked for many years for the national, European, and global medical profession. Annabel began her professional career in 2004 at the German Medical Association and the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians, specializing in medical and European law. From 2007 to 2016, she served as General Counsel and parliamentarian of the World Medical Association (WMA) on permanent secondment via the German Medical Association. From 2016 to 2022, she headed the office of the Standing Committee of European Doctors (CPME) as its Secretary General. Annabel has solid knowledge of association governance and management.
Annabel Seebohm has been a Fellow of SCIANA, the Health Leaders Network, since 2018. Her core interest is about how healthcare systems can be made sustainable with the help of data sharing and technological innovations. Annabel launched her own advocacy company in Brussels, Health4.EU SRL.
Annabel Seebohm studied law at the University of Bonn, undertook her judicial service training in Hamburg and obtained a Masters’ degree with First Class Honours from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She is admitted to the Cologne Bar.
