Julien THOMAS is a Regional Sustainability Relationship Manager within the sustainable finance sales team in EMEA. Julien has been involved in the promotion of sustainable finance services provided by S&P Global Ratings including ESG Evaluations and Sustainable Finance Opinions (SFOs – including Second Party Opinions, SPOs).

Prior to joining S&P in 2014, Julien worked in different relationship management roles in commercial banks, notably Banque Palatine and Fortis Banque.

Julien holds a Master in Management from Toulouse Business School in France, with a major in Banking and Financial Markets.

The session will begin with the presentation of research work on the evaluation of the benefits of compliance (combining costs, returns, gains of compliance analysis). The objective will be then to discuss on the KPIs that can be used to measure the positive returns of compliance by incorporating the perspectives of stakeholders who advocate, monitor, implement, control, or finance compliance actions.
