
Pieter is a lawyer and partner at Timelex, a Brussels-based law firm specialized in all legal and compliance aspects of technology, including big data, internet of things and artificial intelligence. His practice focuses on data protection and privacy, information management, cyber security and intellectual property rights. He frequently speaks and publishes on these matters. Pieter specializes in particular in managing the legal, ethical and regulatory challenges for large research consortia of companies developing new and disruptive data-driven tools and solutions in a variety of technological sectors, guiding them in embedding privacy and ethical compliance in their products by design and by default.
