
Maria Teresa Arredondo Waldmeyer
Considered as one of the 8 pioneers who opened the doors to thousands of scientist women in Spain. She is the first woman Electronic Engineer (National University of Tucumán), first PhD in Telecommunications Engineering (Universidad Politecnica de Valencia). First Full Professor in Telecommunication Engineering (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid). First woman professor in Electronic Technology in Spain. Also, she is one of the 7 founders of the First Scientific Society of Bioengineering (SABI) of all Latin America. Recognised by the Valencia Official College of Engineers (COITCV/AVIT) as one of the women in the sector who have most influenced the development of ICTs. She created the Life Supporting Technologies (LST) Research Group in 2022 and has led 110 European Projects as PI (FP6; FP7; H2020; EIT HEALTH; IMI; PRIMA)
