With over two decades of expertise in applied cryptography, Christian is a seasoned professional at the forefront of secure digital innovation. Specializing in business development for qualified electronic signatures (QES) in the early 2000, large-scale public key infrastructures (PKI), and IoT gateway security, Christian has been instrumental in guiding organizations to build and integrate cryptographic solutions that prioritize compliance, trust, and security.
Throughout his career, Christian has collaborated with global clients across industries—from finance and healthcare to government agencies—designing and deploying cryptographic frameworks that facilitate secure, authenticated transactions. Recognizing the vital role of regulatory standards in today’s digital landscape, he has focused extensively on the development of qualified electronic signatures. By ensuring these signatures meet stringent compliance requirements like eIDAS in the EU, Christian has helped organizations enable secure digital document workflows that are legally binding and widely trusted.
Christian also brings deep expertise in the development and management of large PKIs, a cornerstone technology for safeguarding data, user identities, and digital transactions. Over the years, he has managed PKI deployments that support hundreds of millions of digital certificates, enabling seamless and secure communications in high-stakes environments. Christian's work in this area has also contributed to the advancement of secure IoT infrastructures, where he has developed secure IoT gateways and managed cryptographic protocols tailored to the unique challenges of IoT environments, such as constrained devices and low-latency requirements.
Passionate about bridging the gap between complex cryptographic solutions and real-world applications, Christian combines technical acumen with a strategic business approach, providing clients with solutions that are not only secure but also scalable and aligned with their operational goals. His work has helped companies navigate an ever-evolving threat landscape while staying ahead of compliance demands, building resilient digital infrastructures that their customers and partners can trust.
Working as Managing Director of evolutionQ Christian is now fully dedicated to build quantum safe solutions that meet the needs and requirements of companies and organizations and enable them to transition to a quantum safe infrastructure.
