
Nina Herbort is a berlin-based lawyer specified in data protection and ePrivacy. Before founding her own law firm Short Law in 2024, she worked for the german data protection supervisory authorities for almost 7 years. During this time her focus was on tracking technologies and the digital economy. In her function as the Berlin DPAs representative she was involved in the EDPB Taskforce Cookie Banner, among others.
Before joining the supervisory authorities, she worked as a lawyer in an international law firm, where she was particularly involved in IT law issues.
Nina studied law at the Humboldt University in Berlin, specializing in intellectual property law. After her first state examination, she was a research assistant at the university. During this time, she wrote her doctoral thesis on “Digital Images” and dealt with photography in the digital age from a copyright and data protection perspective.
