Katherine (Katie) Race Brin is the Chief Data Privacy Officer at the World Bank. Katie leads the Bank’s Data Privacy Office, implementing and maintaining the Bank’s Privacy Policy and supporting Bank stakeholders on data privacy issues associated with the Bank’s mission and activities. Prior to joining the World Bank, Katie was Chief Privacy Officer at a publicly-traded education technology company, where she headed the global data protection program. She previously spent over a decade at the Federal Trade Commission, bringing enforcement actions related to privacy and data security and later serving as Chief Privacy Officer of the Commission.
