Quantifying the Degree of Privacy Protection in Structured Synthetic Data
My Session Status
Synthetic data is considered a privacy-preserving solution for sharing and analyzing sensitive datasets, but how much privacy does it really offer? Can we measure it? This workshop will dive deep into the world of structured synthetic data, unraveling its promises and limitations, as well as explore techniques for quantifying privacy protection
Key questions
- What are the best frameworks and metrics for quantifying privacy in structured synthetic datasets?
- What are the hidden risks?
- What’s next for synthetic data privacy research, and where do we draw the ethical line?
This simulation exercise takes place as part of the Privacy Symposium programme and is reserved to registered conference attendees. Places for the interactive simulation are limited to 50 participants, so registration will be based on a first-come-first-serve basis. A registration link for the simulation exercise will be shared in the Privacy Symposium info pack sent to all registered attendees one week before the conference.
