Mr Norman Barbosa
Norman Barbosa, General Manager and Associate General Counsel, Microsoft Law Enforcement, National Security and Telecom Policy and Compliance.
Norman leads Microsoft’s global law enforcement, national security and telecommunications public policy and compliance efforts. He is responsible for developing and implementing Microsoft’s policies to promote the privacy and security interests of its customers related to government access to data. He is also responsible for coordinating Microsoft’s lawful access and telecom policies with the company’s cybersecurity, privacy, digital safety, and cybercrime policies. Prior to joining Microsoft, Norman was an Assistant United States Attorney in the Western District of Washington where he led the Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property Crimes unit and National Security Cyber investigations. Norman graduated from California State University Sacramento with degrees in History and Russian and earned his Juris Doctorate at the University of Washington.
