
Branimir Rakić is the co-founder and CTO of Trace Labs, core developers of OriginTrail Decentralized Knowledge Graph (DKG), an open source protocol for trusted knowledge exchange based on blockchain and knowledge graph technology. Branimir has been leading the Decentralized Knowledge Graph implementations with Trace Labs partners such as British Standards Institution, the Swiss Railway company SBB, Oracle, IoT & digital identity software company Evrythng and several consortiums within the Trace Alliance and European commission supported project.
He's particularly experienced in track & trace and provenance applications, having developed such solutions within the food industry since 2011. Branimir has been mentored by Bob Metcalfe (famous for the "Metcalfe's law" of network effects) after which OriginTrail has received the Food+City People's Choice Award in Austin, Texas in 2017. Being a strong advocate of open source, permissionless innovation, Branimir is active in standards development working groups within GS1 and the blockchain communities, a member of the Serbian Entrepreneurs and an alumni H-Farm accelerator.
Branimir is an MSc in Information Technologies & Telecommunications graduated at the University of Belgrade, School of Electrical Engineering.
