Mr Filiberto Emanuele Brozzetti

Filiberto E. Brozzetti was born in Penne, near Pescara (Italy), on October 11, 1990.

He graduated with honors and special mention in Law from LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome and obtained a PhD in Philosophy of Law from the University of Naples Federico II.

Since 2022, he has been an Assistant Professor (Research) of AI, Law, and Ethics at the Department of Law of LUISS Guido Carli, where he has taught Legal Theory, Data Protection Law, and Law and Ethics of Innovation and Sustainability since 2016. From 2023, he is also the coordinator of the Didactic Area of Intelligent Machines and Law, a member of the steering committee of the LUISS Data Lab Research Center, and director of the Summer University in Digital Platforms: Governance, Regulation, and Society.

From July 2015 to December 2022, he worked at the Italian Data Protection Authority; from January 2016 to July 2020 as legal advisor to Hon. Giovanna Bianchi Clerici, a member of the Board, and from December 2020 to December 2022 as senior legal advisor to Prof. Ginevra Cerrina Feroni, Vice President of the Authority.

Since October 2022, he has been a Consultant for the UNOCT-United Nations Office for Counter-Terrorism, tasked with drafting harmonized rules to promote the protection of personal data in counter-terrorism activities.

From October 2023, he is Of Counsel at Baker McKenzie in the IP and ICT Practice.

He teaches in numerous masters and superior schools on data protection, cybersecurity, and law of emerging technologies.

He is the author of several scientific publications on philosophy of law, data protection law, and law and ethics of artificial intelligence. He is also a member of the editorial board of the Rivista Internazionale di Filosofia del Diritto.
