Danie Strachan

Dr. Danie Strachan has been in legal practice for more than 18 years. Before joining VeraSafe, he was a partner at Adams & Adams, a leading African law firm. For over a decade, his area of specialization has been centered on regulatory matters, particularly consumer protection and data privacy. He has led numerous client projects concerning implementation of and compliance with data protection law and advises clients ranging from technology start-ups to well-known international brands. Danie holds a research doctorate in law (LLD) from the University of Pretoria. He is a South African admitted attorney (non-practicing) and has attained the CIPP/E, CIPP/US, and CIPM certifications from the Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
