Introduction 

In recent years, data protection certification has emerged as a new mechanism for demonstrating compliance with the regulation. The European Data Protection Seal under Art. 42 GDPR has recently been unlocked in Europe, and other jurisdictions are adopting similar regulations. This session will review and discuss lessons learned from privacy and data protection certifications and perspectives for the future.
