Professor in the Master Degree of Internet of Things at PECE- University of São Paulo (USP); Professor in the Master Degree of Innovation in Health at FACISB; post-doc researcher at GAESI/USP; Head of International Cooperation in Institute of Software and Services Technology. In his Ph.D., he proposed an open and integrated approach to automate and control processes in Smart Cities, called SAT. The proposal has been adopted officially by the Government and is now, in its prime application, generating more than 5 billion electronic invoices per year. During his career, he also faced other technological challenges, such as the application of the risk analysis concept with machine learning to control importation and exportation by the Ministry of Agriculture, the integration of traffic and transportation data based on open standards to promote urban mobility for the city of Sao Paulo, and the design and development of a track and trace system for Anvisa, the Brazilian Agency for Food and Drugs Administration. The mentioned projects were awarded nationally and internationally and contributed to the academy through related publications.
