Duncan Brown leads IDC’s European research for the Security, Privacy, Software, Services and Cloud areas, as well as the Channels and Ecosystems research teams. His chief responsibility is to drive innovation for the IDC European Research team. 

Brown established IDC's market-leading coverage of the global impact of the GDPR on technology companies and their customers, and was the first analyst to measure in value the impact of the incoming regulation. He now leads IDC’s research into Trust and Digital Sovereignty, assessing the impact of changing social, economic and geopolitical influences on the adoption of ICT.

His analysis and opinions are widely sought by industry leaders and investors, while his comments on industry trends and developments frequently appear in the leading business and trade publications.
