David Kennedy is the Director of Eurescom - The European Institute for Research and Strategic Studies in Telecommunications – in Heidelberg in Germany.  

Eurescom is a major provider of programme and project management services for European RDI initiatives and projects in the ICT area and beyond.  He is also the Chairman of the Eureka CELTIC-NEXT Cluster and been heavily involved with many European research initiatives such the New European Media Initiative (NEM), the Future Internet PPP, and the 5G Infrastructure PPP. David is now on the board of the 6G Smart Services and Networks Industry Association and is also a member of the Governing board of the new Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS-JU) in the Horizon Europe framework programme.
