Degree with honors in Mathematics. Entire scientific career as epidemiologist and biostatistician at the Italian National Institute of Health (ISS- Istituto Superiore di Sanità). Former Research Director in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Head of the Statistics Unit and Data Protection Officer at ISS. Currently coordinates the Regulatory and Privacy Commission of the Italian Society of Medical Statistics and Clinical Epidemiology (SISMEC).
