Mr. Huanzhang FU is a seconded police officer with fourteen years’ experience in the field of crime scene investigation, forensic science, and scientific research management in police. He joined the INTERPOL Innovation Centre in 2021 as the Head of Adaptive Policing Lab, which was rebranded as the INTERPOL Responsible AI Lab in early 2023. He has been serving as the Acting Assistant Director Strategic Innovation of INTERPOL Innovation Centre since July 2024 and was officially appointed as Assistant Director Strategic Innovation in April 2025. With an academic background in AI, his scope of work presently covers innovation and emerging technology relevant to law enforcement, with a focus on responsible AI.
