Juan de la Cruz is Responsible for Technology and Design for IoT solutions at Telefónica Business Solutions. He is in charge of the International Network and Sales beyond the footprint of the Telefónica Group. From there he has worked on all types of projects related to IoT, ranging from telemedicine and telecare to cargo management or vehicle fleets; particularly from the telco perspective and the international telecommunications network through which traffic flows. Juan de la Cruz researches and develops the possibilities of Artificial Intelligence in the control of IoT traffic in these networks linked to decision-making under traffic patterns, its Security and impact on the society, not only in Telefónica, but also for the University of the Basque Country through its doctoral program. He received the first prize of the Telefónica Chair of the University of Alcalá for his Architecture for the Communication of People with Deafblindness.
