Paolo Falcarin is Associate Professor at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. He was awarded his PhD in Software Engineering in 2004, and MEng in Computer Engineering in 2000 from Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy), where he worked as a research associate before joining the University of East London in 2010 as Senior Lecturer and then Reader in Computer Science, where he led the Secure Software Engineering research group.

His research interests include Software Protection and Security, Software Engineering and Legal Compliance of Software Systems, with particualr focus on AI Act, NIS2, and Cyber-Resilience Act.

Paolo is associate editor of the Computers & Security journal, and Steering Committee member of the CheckMATE workshop.
