Professor Dr. Boris P. Paal, M.Jur. (Oxford) is a fully qualified lawyer and Full Professor (with tenure), holding the Chair for Law and Regulation of the Digital Transformation at the Technical University of Munich (https://www.gov.sot.tum.de/en/lrd/homepage/).
Professor Paal has more than 25 years of experience in academia and legal practice (as of counsel and judge). He is the editor and author of leading commentaries and publications on all areas of the law and regulation of the digital transformation. As an accomplished legal scholar, he is responsible for more than 200 publications, including leading books on Information, Media, and Data (Protection) Law.
Professor Paal provides legal expertise in various settings to public and private institutions; inter alia, he is a member of several advisory boards and serves as an expert to the EU Commission and the German Parliament.
