
Vicky Avgikou
Vasiliki Avgikou is a Research Associate at CERTH/ITI. She received her diploma in Forestry from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2002. She has obtained a MSc in Applied Geography specialized in Remote Sensing and GIS applications from the Harokopeio University of Athens. She has worked for years as a Project Manager and Earth Observation Analyst in numerous European Union funded projects in the domains of ICT, land use/land cover mapping, natural resources, coastal monitoring, disaster management and security. Since September 2021 she has been employed in CERTH/ITI involved in various H2020 projects, focusing in the sector of smart cities, energy and space.
