
Coen holds a Master of Science in Electronics Engineering from the University of Twente, the Netherlands. He joined ERTICO's Innovation and Deployment team in July 2020 and his expertise lies within 5G, connectivity, and automation. Before joining ERTICO, Coen worked for Sweco as Senior Advisor for Mobility and ITS pushing forward Automated Intersection Management, at TNO as Business Consultant for Networked Information responsible for the 5G portfolio, and at Technolution as Consultant and Business Developer where he stood at the base of the current nr. 1 traffic management system in the Netherlands. At ERTICO Coen is responsible for the largest 5G cross-border project in the Horizon 2020 ICT-18 call covering 10 countries and 57 partners from inside and outside the UE. His work is extended with transportation projects involving ports implementing solutions based on 5G. A native Dutch speaker, Coen also speaks English, German, and occasional French and Spanish.
