Dr. Jason Hallstrom serves as Executive Director of Florida Atlantic University's Institute for Sensing and Embedded Network Systems Engineering (I-SENSE) and is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He holds a B.S. in Systems Analysis, an M.A in Economics, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer and Information Science. His work involves the design, deployment, and management of large-scale sensing infrastructure, with an emphasis on hardware/software co-design issues. His work is currently supported through the National Science Foundation, NOAA (via CCU), the Knight Foundation, the City of West Palm Beach, and industry partners.
