Juanjo Hierro is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the FIWARE Foundation which, together with its members and the collaboration of partners, drives the definition and fosters the adoption of FIWARE open source technologies, materialising the implementation and integration of key open standards that support a faster, easier and cheaper development of portable and interoperable smart solutions in multiple application domains.  He is also chairman of the FIWARE Technical Steering Committee which drives the FIWARE technical direction and roadmap. He also supports different FIWARE Mission Support Committees in developing the vision and value proposition of FIWARE in the several domains where it is being applied.  Within the Data Spaces Business Alliance, Juanjo contributes to the discussion on technical alignment towards a common technology framework for data spaces.
