Rob is the Vice President and General Manager for IoT at Ericsson where he drives Internet of Things strategy and execution. Prior to Ericsson, Rob was the Founder and CEO of Enterprise IoT, where he created the Moab distributed edge + digital twin computing system. At Hitachi, he designed and brought the Lumada Industrial IoT platform to market as CTO and Global Product Manager. As Global Technology Lead at Microsoft, Rob incubated the Azure IoT platform and was the co-author of its reference architecture.

Rob spent his career as an entrepreneur, executive, architect, developer, strategist, inventor, and writer of articles and bestselling books on mobile, IoT, wireless and embedded technologies. A pioneer of the mobile revolution, he co-founded one of the earliest mobile device management (MDM) companies. He’s routinely ranked as one of the top IoT experts in the world.

Rob serves on the boards of SmartCitiesWorld and Kapios Health.
