Lucio Scudiero is a lawyer at Legance – Avvocati Associati, a top tier law firm in Italy; he advises on data law and cybersecurity, with particular focus on data protection and cybersecurity requirements, as well as on subjects related to consumer law and electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions (so called "eIDAS Regulation"), particularly in the fintech, insurtech and life science domains. He also drafts and revises IT contracts, such as Cloud Computing Service Agreements, Privacy Level Agreements, Software Contracts, advising clients in the context of inspections and law enforcement operations undertaken by the Italian Data Protection Authority and other supervisory authorities, as well as in the context of judicial activities related to the application of data laws. Lucio contributed to the first draft of the Euro Privacy certification scheme, the first EU certification mechanism approved by the European Data Protection Bard, and is an active member of the Euro Privacy Board of Experts. Furthermore, he is one of the three designated members of the monitoring body overseeing the application of the Code of Conduct on the credit checks within the credit bureaus approved by the Italian Data Protection Authority.
Lucio Scudiero participates in conferences, workshops and courses as a speaker and is also a lecturer in several Masters on the subject of the protection of personal data.
