
Shahid Raza
Shahid Raza is the Chair and Full Professor of Cybersecurity at the University of Glasgow, UK. He is also affiliated with RISE Sweden as the Research Director of Cybersecurity and with Mälardalen University (MDU), Sweden as a Professor in Cybersecurity. Previously, Shahid served as the Director of the Cybersecurity Unit at RISE Sweden for eight (8) years, where he established the unit as one of the largest technical cybersecurity groups in Sweden, conducting cutting-edge research on both fundamental and applied cybersecurity topics. He co-founded Cybercampus Sweden (cybercampus.se) and leads its scientific activities as the Research Director. Additionally, he envisioned and founded the RISE Cyber Range and the Swedish Cybersecurity Research and Innovation Node (cybernode.se). Shahid is an expert cybersecurity researcher; his scientific work, published in prestigious journals and conferences, has received over 7200 citations. He holds a Swedish Docentship title from Uppsala University, a PhD from Mälardalen University, and an MSc degree from KTH, all in cybersecurity.
