Mr Lakaniemi works as a Vice President, Business Development for Combient, a Nordic industry network and as a Research Director, for Center for Knowledge and Innovation Research at the Aalto University School of Business.

He is also the Chair of the Development Centre for the Finnish Information Society and an expert working in large-scale EU programs and strategic projects for the Finnish government. Mr Lakaniemi has combined academic and industry careers since the mid-1990s and is an expert in the digital transformation of business and platform economy.
