
Alejandro Fornés Leal graduated in Telecommunication Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) in 2014. Within the 5 following years, he worked as a researcher in the Mobile Communications Group (MCG) of the Institute for Telecommunication and Multimedia Applications (iTEAM), participating in projects related to Body Area Networks (BAN) and electromagnetic spectroscopy, and completing his PhD in 2019. Nowadays, he is working as a researcher at the Distributed Real Time Systems Lab (SATRD), also at UPV. His research has shifted towards the design and development of innovative ICT solutions mainly for health and logistic verticals, leveraging technologies like IoT, 5G, Virtualization and Edge-Cloud technologies, among others. In particular, he is currently participating as WP leader in H2020 ASSIST-IoT EU project, and has authored or coauthored more than 20 publications in high-impact journals and conferences.
