Mexico is famous for its Mayan architecture but the 'Olmec' taught the Maya much of what they knew. Their origins are still a mystery, but they were incredibly sophisticated and built the first pyramids in Mexico. Hugh also explores the legend of Quetzalcoatl, a bearded god (who is carved in stone at several Olmec sites), similar to Viracocha in Peru, who may have been an exiled Egyptian god or Pharaoh.
