The GEM Unification Theory brings together the four forces of nature: gravity, electromagnetism, strong force, and weak force. It began as an attempt to complete Einstein's quest to unify the two long-range forces (gravity and electromagnetism), with the goal of allowing gravity-modification for space travel. Unexpectedly, it yielded deep insights into the two short-range forces, as well. Using diagrams and analogies (no math!),  Dr. Brandenburg will give a basic outline of the theory and its potential to revolutionize spaceflight and energy technology.
