Investigative reporter George Knapp and colleague Jeremy Corbell will give a compelling presentation about the misunderstood origins and development of two Pentagon-acknowledged UFO programs: the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) and its host program, the Advanced Aerospace Weapons Systems Application Program (AAWSAP). How did they begin? What was their focus? How did they interact? Knapp and Corbell will also explore the Nimitz "Tic Tac" encounter reported by key witness Commander David Fravor and discuss why that case played a critical role in changing the perception of UFO phenomena. Finally, they'll raise questions about Pentagon statements indicating that the Department of Defense program on UFOs ended in 2012. This presentation will reveal what efforts are underway behind the scenes to study and understand the phenomena, based on high level, up-to-the-minute contacts with key investigators, contractors, and military officials.
