David W Connolly is a director, choreographer, advocate, and educator who currently serves as the Associate Artistic Director of Drayton Entertainment, one of Canada's largest not-for-profit professional theatre companies. As the only amputee to have performed on Broadway, David remains passionate about changing that statistic. He is deeply committed to matters concerning disabled inclusion in the arts and the discovery of actionable steps required for change. As an educator, he has been an adjunct professor and advisor to the Musical Theatre Performance Programs at Sheridan College, Randolph College, Fanshawe College, St Lawrence College and VanderCook College. David holds an honours bachelor's degree in musical theatre performance from Sheridan College, is a recipient of The Ontario Premier's Award of Excellence and an ambassador for both The War Amps’ Child Amputee Program (CHAMP) and The Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
