Tonya Pinkins is a Tony Award-winning actor who's appeared on stage, television, and film. Twenty years in daytime television, 9 Broadway shows, including the original Merrily We Roll Along, Caroline, or Change (Tony Nominee), and Jelly's Last Jam (Tony-winner, Best Supporting Actress). She was Ethel Peabody of Gotham and Martha on Fear the Walking Dead. Recently she was seen on Katy Keane, Wu Tand – American Saga and as the Secretary of State on Madam Secretary. Her feature film debut as writer/director, the socio-political horror film Red Pill, premiered this year at the Pan African Film Festival and won Best First Filmmaker Award and the Black Lives Matter Award at the Mykonos International Film Festival. She is also the host of the popular podcast You Can't Say That on the Broadway Podcast Network. She will be seen later this year on the ABC limited series Women of the Movement.
