Michael Walkup is the Artistic Director of Page 73, a theater company producing playwrights’ first Off-Broadway premieres in New York City and developing the work of early-career playwrights who have yet to receive such productions (page73.org). Page 73’s recent productions include A Strange Loop by Michael R. Jackson (2020 Pulitzer Prize Winner, currently on Broadway), Man Cave by John J. Caswell, Jr., STEW by Zora Howard (2021 Pulitzer Prize Finalist), and Catch as Catch Can by Mia Chung. Michael has been with Page 73 since 2011, and worked previously in new play development at Yale Repertory Theatre. He has been teaching a “First Draft” playwriting class at the Einhorn School of Performing Arts since 2016. MFA in Dramaturgy, Yale School of Drama; BA in Theater Studies, Penn State University.
