While the shutdown of Broadway in New York made the international press, the pandemic also brought to a halt dozens of touring Broadway shows, impacting performances in the over 200 cities where Broadway tours play each year. Jacob Persily is back for a fourth year at BroadwayCon with the stories of what happened on the road in March of 2020, during the shutdown, and during the re-launch of touring Broadway. Featuring insight from friends who were on the road in March of 2020 and friends who went back on the road in the summer and fall of 2021, this presentation is about the importance of touring Broadway, and the work that needed to be done to bring Broadway back to your hometown.
